We believe in clear, fair terms. Here's exactly how our deposit policy works — when it applies, what happens if you cancel, and your rights as a customer.
For certain jobs — particularly those requiring special-order materials, equipment procurement, or scheduled multi-day work — a deposit will be requested at the time of booking confirmation. The deposit amount is specified in your Quote or Option Sheet.
Your deposit secures your booking date and covers the cost of materials ordered specifically for your job. Materials that are special-ordered for your project cannot be returned or restocked once ordered.
If you cancel your booking after paying a deposit, Amino Electrical & Air will retain the deposit (or part thereof) to cover genuine losses directly resulting from your cancellation — including materials ordered, supplier restocking fees, and time already allocated to your job.
Where the deposit amount exceeds our actual losses from your cancellation, we will refund the difference within a reasonable time. We will provide you with an itemised account of costs incurred upon request.
If you need to reschedule (rather than cancel), contact us as early as possible. We will work with you to find a suitable alternative time. Rescheduling does not result in loss of your deposit, provided reasonable notice is given.
Amino Electrical & Air reserves the right to subcontract elements of your job where appropriate. Where subcontractors are used, Amino Electrical & Air remains responsible for the performance of that work under these terms.
Nothing in these terms limits or restricts your rights under Australian Consumer Law. If there is a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy. These deposit terms do not affect those rights.
If you have a concern about your deposit or a cancellation decision, please contact us first. We aim to resolve all disputes fairly and promptly. Unresolved disputes may be referred to mediation. These terms are governed by Queensland law.
If you have any questions about whether a deposit applies to your job, how it's calculated, or our cancellation process, please contact us before booking.
